Brent South (UK Parliament constituency)

Brent South was a parliamentary constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom; it was replaced by Brent Central for the 2010 general election. It elected one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.
Since its creation in 1974, the constituency consistently elected Labour MPs with large majorities. At the 2010 general election, Brent South was abolished and split between neighbouring Brent North and two newly created constituencies: Brent Central and Hampstead and Kilburn.
